Moffitt Family Portraits….

It took a little while to dig back and find this beautiful family’s very first shoot with me. They are such a pleasure to photograph, and I look forward every year to photographing them, and seeing how much they have grown, and boy have they GROWN! Below is the link to their first shoot, my goodness how time has flown!
Yes… they are pro’s at this whole family photoshoot thing, so much that we are running out of locations to use! So mom wanted to go back to the beginning…. what a great idea..
Our fist location:
Model potential right here! What a handsome dude….

Looking more and more like her gorgeous mom every year…

We also ventured to a new location which I have never shot a family portrait session at yet.
I don’t think it will be the last time. I love it!

And one more…. love it!
Thank you Moffitt family again for another fabulous photoshoot! You guys always ROCK IT! (no pun intended! 😛

Rockin’ roll family shoot

When this family asked for an Urban Chic location, I knew it was going to be something amazing!
And I wasn’t wrong, we had so much fun on this shoot, I loved the way mom pulled together the wardrobe, the props.. it’s all her, I can’t take any credit for their amazing look.

This gorgeous senior needed no direction on posing, makes my job so incredibly easy! She just rocked it out!

Just too cute for words… I wish I was a writer but I am just a photographer. I will have to let the pictures do all the talking. I just want to say how much I LOVED this photoshoot!

Still catching up on more family portraits. Come back soon for more awesome families!

[A beautiful model]

I recently had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous girl!
She’s such a natural! I just couldn’t wait to share a few with you now… more coming soon!

[puppies at 6 weeks]

Nothing grows quicker than puppies! They come out looking like little baby guniea pigs and quickly turn into the most adorable and playful puppies in just a few short weeks!
Here they are at 6 weeks! Almost ready to go to their forever homes.

Rue loved playing with Darwin a little mini-her… you can see how much she’s grown when you compare her to the little ones. But she’s almost fully grown so she’s not going to be a big girl… these puppies will reach her size at about 10 weeks!

Little Darwin was a spunky little dude, he and Rue would be at it all the time! They were so so cute together.

Sydney is just super sweet she’s got a wonderful gentle temperament. So sweet and cuddly. I adored her.

Melbourne is very much like Sydney, they’re two peas in a pod, they’re so sweet and loving, always ready to be held and cuddled. He was super fun and curious.

Little Princess Adelaide was a little shy. She held back when the other were clamouring to be held. She’s likes her own space, and loved being outdoors. She never came when I called her and had to be hunted down from inside the bushes when it was time to go inside. she was a bit of a scaredy cat, so was the best model, she would hardly moved and posed quietly for me!

As you can see I was able to put her in a little picnic basket for photos and she behaved very well.

Oh so cute! These puppies all went home to wonderful families, Sydney was auctioned off at a very high bid at an Auction in Vegas, but also went home to a loving family. I miss them all! And I know each and everyone of them will bring only JOY and HAPPINESS to their owners.

If you’re interested in a labradoodle or goldendoodle visit the breeder’s website for TONS more information

[fresh newborn baby]

Its’ been a while since there’s been a newborn on this site… oh I was reminded how little and fresh they are when they first enter into this world. And how fast they grow. How does it seem like a lifetime while you are in the midst of the crying, dirty diapers and sleepless nights but looking back, it seems like only a blink of an eye? Gosh! I’m sounding old, like all the moms who warned me when my girls were little?

Sigh… how gorgeous and perfect is this little babe?

Just too cute! Thanks for stopping by…. come back and see more pics soon, I have some super adorable shoots coming up!

[first family portrait session of 2013]

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I can’t even believe its already 2013 its been so crazy. I’ve been so sick this January, right after this awesome shoot I caught a ‘common cold’ that kicked my butt! I was in bed for nearly  2 weeks and still felt awful through most of February. Crazy! but I’m feeling better and looking forward to a great year!
And what better way to start but photographing a gorgeous family? I love everything about this shoot, the wintery back drop and gorgeous lighting, as well as the stylish outfits.

Aren’t they just too cute?? I love seeing little mini-me’s!

{Fall Family Sessions 2012}

Yes, the temps are still crazy hot but it’s that time of year again, kicking off Fall family sessions is the Hennings, what a beautiful family inside and out! It was a perfect morning when we got together to shoot their family in one of my favorite locations in Sacramento – Old Town. It was the day before the Hennings were packing up their truck to drive their first child to college! So happy we were able to fit this in before she went off into the big world…

There is still time to book your fall family session. E-mail me today at info@alexandrafrankel.com

A special photoshooot.. with a special girl!

I’ve never seen eyes like these, aren’t they just amazing?

And they have an amazing little girl to go with them! She totally rocked her session, and we got so many amazing shots. Thanks for being such an awesome model!

This is a special photo session for mom and daughter, these are my favorites, because I know how much I cherish the pics of me and my little ones, and they are rare since like most moms we’re the ones behind the camera!!

I can’t wait to photograph the rest of your beautiful family!

P.S. Don’t tell DAD! Its a SURPRISE!

A Bride with a love for organic flowers

A few weeks ago (ah, I am so behind!) Martha commissioned me to photograph this beautiful bride choosing her flowers at a local organic flower farm. Hilary wanted to have a wedding filled with local organic flowers, which included some of California’s most gorgeous wild flowers too!

Here they are selecting the flowers for their wedding on a beautiful afternoon in Lincoln:

Decisions… Decisions… sweet peas?…. definitely!!

We stopped to watch in awe at these gorgeous horses grazed in the sunset, they’re part of a magnificent horse and carriage ensemble also available for weddings:

Who knew there was this amazing flower farm in Lincoln? I keep finding such little gold mines in Lincoln, I’m really loving it. I hope to shoot here again!

So here they are just as they were delivered to Blooms for Martha to work her magic, but look how amazing they look even just in the water buckets!!

For the center pieces Hilary chose these steel watering cans, aren’t they perfect?

Come back soon and check out the pics I snapped at the wedding on behalf of Blooms. I can’t wait to show you how gorgeous Hilary looked in her wedding gown! Just Stunning!! Thanks Martha for choosing me to photograph this awesome event.
